Distance: 6.2mi

Miles to go: 1337

Hey, look!

CMC Fall Picture

It’s 5:30am and I’m standing right in the middle of 68(ish) runners and a gorilla!  How fun is that?  It was 53 degrees at run time.  Over 30 degrees higher than last week.  Gotta love fall in Mid Mo!

I averaged 8:00 miles for 6.2 on a course with one long, rolling hill.  I’m good with that.  I ran within myself and, although I pushed it a little, I felt in control all the way through.  People were really mixed up as far as grouping this morning.  I passed people that usually are nowhere near the front and got passed by people who usually run WAY out front and I never see.  Not sure what happened but it threw off my groove.  I’m so routine oriented…

Keep the posts going. Really enjoy hearing about your runs. FYI…which running club did you run with in Oklahoma? Thanks.

    Hi Stan,
Thanks! The running club never identified themselves and I didn’t get the chance to ask since my ankle prevented me from running… 😦 Got any in Oklahoma you would recommend?

I’m fairly new and have been training for Route 66 and running in smaller races. My next step is to find a good running club. I know that OKC has one called the landrunners and Edmond has the Edmond Running Club. I was hoping you had lucked into one that you could recommend. I have noticed that Tulsa has many running clubs but that does not help me because i’m in the Norman area.

Yeah! Way cool, “runs with monkeys” 😉
