Miles to go: 1470
Image via WikipediaToday I arrived in Indianapolis for a conference. Since it would have taken about as long to drive to the airport, get checked in, wait, fly, get my stuff, find a shuttle/rental, etc. as it would to drive (5 1/2 hours), I just road tripped it. On my way out of town I glanced at Google maps and noticed what appeared to be a parks and trails system very close to my hotel. Ohh baby! What a cool place!
Its called the Canal Walk and White River Trail. It’s just like San Antonio only a little wider (…and cleaner… and without the bums). What a jewel! I’m going to go back out and run it the other direction in the morning so I can go out through the park. This is a neat find. There were a lot of runners and walkers on it, which is a good sign and it appears to be very well lit at night as well. We will see since I will probably be running before sun up tomorrow!
So, if you are ever in Indy and looking for a place to run that is pretty, clean and lightly traveled, this is the spot for you. Enjoy!
