The problem with inspiration

Distance: 3.5mi (Traknight)

Miles to go: 1497

Pandora is KILLING me.  Every time I listen to my station I end up at iTunes buying another stupid song to put in my iPod.  I swear they are in bed together…

BTW… Want a great running song?  Check out “Ain’t nothin’ wrong with it” by Robert Randolph and the Family Band…  Not usually my kind of music but this song will destroy you if you try to keep up with it…

I seem to be going through about a two week cycle where the first week I feel great and the second week I am fatigued.  Then it (oddly enough) starts over again.  I know it’s just me slowly getting back into shape, but this week I was pooped and not able to maintain my splits at Traknight and last week I was flying.  I’m not worried about it, I just think it’s kinda strange.

The guy that ran the 100 mile ultra a couple of weeks ago was at Traknight tonight and running.  Dude is my hero.  He swears he walked half of it but I don’t believe him.  Thirty six hours straight of running.  We would have already buried me and thrown flowers on my grave by now had I attempted such a thing.  He says next up for him is an ultra swim (10K).  Rock on, Andy… Rock on.

I just want to swim 400 yards without drowning so I can complete a short course triathlon.  Guess I should start swimming soon…  The triathlon I’m thinking about is in April…  The problem with cool people inspiring me to challenge myself is it usually costs me money…  And that’s not counting the doctor bills…!
