Would you like some cheese with that?

OK… so I’m looking for progress here…  I am still very sore and uncomfortable.  I can’t sit for extended periods.  I can’t stand for extended periods.  I can’t stretch too much.  I can’t walk for long distances.  I can’t run.  I didn’t get that spin bike (it went for $220).  There is a good inch of solid ice on everything and when I slip when I’m walking… IT HURTS.

Anyway, enough bitching…  It does no good.  How about some positives.

I am still lifting and have gone up from two sets to three sets of 8 and am slowly increasing my weights again.  I was surprised how much strength I had lost from last year when I stopped lifting.  It’s coming back though.  I also don’t have that “just started lifting” pain I thought I would have.  I did manage to walk for about 7 minutes, slowly, on the treadmill.

I got to play in the shop for a few days and built a sewing box for my lovely wife for Christmas, which is nearly done except for another coat of finish and a bit of sanding.  I will post pictures of it at my other blog as soon as it is done.  It was a fun project and I got to use just about every tool in the shop, so I’m happy…  It’s just too bad there is no aerobic benefit in woodworking…
