I am attending a conference in San Antonio this week but did manage to get a short run in down the famous San Antonio River walk. I popped up out of the River Walk right at the Alamo! Kinda cool. The River walk is really only a good run if you do it early in the morning. Anything later than that is a disaster as it is only about two people wide. It is beautiful and unique but make sure you take some time to really get the lay of it because it can be very confusing. If you get lost you have to run on downtown city streets which are suprisingly urban and concrete. Very much like downtown (insert your favorite big city here) in that it is a maze of high rises and one way streets. Definitely a different run, but interesting. The river walk is very commercial, with a huge number of restaurants and clubs so this means that there is not much free space to roam and any time after about 7am it becomes clogged with people. The transit system here is good so take a buck with you and you can take a trolley back to your hotel if you get lost. More later!

I do like that River walk — I was also there on business once, and we wandered down for dinner in the evening. Pretty!
